Hi, I’m Kate
I am an early childhood educator who graduated from Bow Valley College in 2016. In addition to the ECE diploma, I got my master’s degree in English Language Teaching from St. Andrews University, UK, in 2007. I am a born teacher and love to be with children. As we all know, children are our hope and future. I believe that a good teacher will have a lifelong impact on a person’s development. Among the many teaching elements, I emphasize outdoor education, reading, and music. I am a good gardener who will nurture the “flowers” to be the best they can be.
Philosophy
Whimsical Woods Day Home, located near South Glenmore Park and Nellie McClung School, emphasizes outdoor, music, and reading education. We believe that children learn through play and grow happily in nature with the support of vitality.
